Hello there, I’m meg and I am from Long Island, NY! I began my online selling journey when I was only 17 years old by selling my closet castoffs on LiveJournal. Soon after I began thrifting and as my personal style went backward so did my stores focus. From 2004-2008 I sold vintage clothing under the name Drop Your Drawers on LiveJournal, Ebay, my own website and Etsy. In 2007 I was listed in the top vintage clothing sites in Bust Magazine. In 2009 DYD became Storyland Vintage and I now offer my handpicked vintage finds on Etsy and Ebay.

I am obsessed with anything vintage and antique! I wear vintage clothing myself and my favorite decades are the 1930′s-early 60′s but I like something about everything I sell! Aside from laundering and mending which my mother/best friend helps me with, I’m the one behind what you see. I also can’t leave out my lovely models, Mona the Wolform and Marian my mannequin head; I couldn’t do this without any of them!

My idea of a good time is sitting in someone’s closet, digging through boxes of clothes, unknowing of what I may pull out (and let me tell you, I have pulled out some funny things before). Unfortunately I don’t have a poker face or mouth though because when I do find something awesome I tend to audibly gasp and get very excited. I guess I show my cards too easily but, I LOVE what I do! I also love my 5 cats(Apple, Fred & Ginger, Button & Bow), The Adventures of Pete and Pete, dark rides, laughing, nights in BK and NYC, going on adventures, cute boys, brick oven pizza, the summer, live music, Halloween, gnomes and being me! Everything I like and love has a way of making itself known in my shop, from styling to photo shoots to what I name the items. I dream of vintage shopping trips around the world, musicians wearing my clothes, being an extra in a period piece movie, starring as the love interest in a music video and most of all, having a physical store someday!
